The first week of January I spent some time in New York exploring the streets, meeting new people and scoring on new vintage finds. I always find it very inspiring to see people in a different city promoting the DIY movement and supporting their independent design and art community. I gathered an incredible amount of inspiration and goods to compete my Spring 08 line. I will be posting new items though out the week on Etsy, so make sure to check it out.
My favorite pit stop on my trip was the Hell's kitchen flea market. I snagged several pieces of costume jewelry from the 1940's-1950's and will be using them for embellishments and inspiration on upcoming accessories. So much to create in so little time!!!
